On October 1, 2025, INTOPER (CEO Young-Gab Kim) attended an internal seminar of the technical subcommittee of the Privacy Technology Forum, held at the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), and gave a presentation on ‘Encryption and Decryption Technology That Allows Original Video Preservation and Personal Information Protection to Coexist.’
The seminar was held under the theme ‘Intelligent CCTV Domain Operation and Response Technology.’ With members and officials of the Privacy Technology Forum in attendance, personal information protection technologies and field application cases for unstructured data environments such as video and audio were shared.
In his presentation, CEO Young-Gab Kim said, “Because video data is used as important evidence, preserving the original is essential,” and emphasized, “At the same time, technology that can safely protect the personal information in video is absolutely necessary to meet personal information protection regulations.”
At the event, INTOPER introduced ‘CryptoNix,’ the video encryption and decryption technology it developed. CryptoNix applies selective encryption to the areas of personal information in video and can restore the original through decryption when necessary. In this way, it goes beyond the irreversible limitations of conventional simple masking methods, achieving both data usability and personal information protection.
The seminar also continued with discussions on the institutional and technical challenges that arise in the process of using video data and on directions for improvement, focusing on actual application cases in the intelligent CCTV and physical security domains.
INTOPER plans to continue advancing its video encryption and decryption technology to contribute to creating an environment in which personal information protection and data use are balanced.
